Welcome to Atlas Animal Allies, where our story began with Atlas, a small puppy with a big impact. In memory of Atlas
Atlas Animal Allies was created in honor of Atlas, one of five puppies rescued from poor conditions. Although we worked tirelessly to support him through multiple veterinary visits, his compromised immune system left him too fragile to recover. He passed away loved and held in my arms. This experience ignited our passion to create a nonprofit dedicated to education, rescue efforts, and providing a safe haven for animals of all kinds. His story drives our mission to ensure that every animal we help has the chance Atlas never got.
Our guiding principles
At Atlas Animal Allies, our rescue efforts are guided by three core principles:
- Self: Ensure your own safety first; a rescuer in trouble helps no one.
- Team: Secure your team's safety and support roles (ropes, lookout).
- Victim: Only after self and team are safe, then focus on the victim.
These principles ensure that we operate effectively and safely, maximizing our impact on the lives of animals in need.
